MAIN (Microfinance African Institutions Network) is an international nonprofit making association established in 1995 in Ivory Coast through the initiative of several institutions (CERUDEB, SIPEM, SIDI, FIDI & IDM) with long experience in microfinance and/or promoting microenterprises in Africa. As at July 30 th 2025, MAIN counts 145 members from 27 countries.

To date, MAIN has organized  13 International Conferences,  47 sessions of university program,  91 trainings, 19 exchanges visits. In total  4287 microfinance pratitionners have been trained as at the same date. Moreover, 11 publications have been published by MAIN.

MAIN is composed of microfinance institutions,professional associations, solidarity banks, cooperatives and producer organizations as well as resource organizations (universities, social investors…). MAIN member institutions reach more than 16 million beneficiaries through their financial & non-financial services.
